Not many people know this, but second river kids are said to thirst for blood, and there have been instances in the past of both self-harm and abduction of unsuspecting women, all motivated by this thirst. It’s a taboo subject in Carefree, which is why we haven’t heard about it yet. An unfortunate side effect of the taboo is that some are long left uninformed, particularly children, and these people are the most often seduced. It’s quite a disturbing truth, but one that needs to be spread.
